AIDS A Divine Punishment? - Page 2

I agree with Farseer quite heartily on what she stated. Unfortunate situations and events such as a person contracting AIDS, in whatever manner they may attract the disease, is not God's way of getting back at us for sinning. I believe it was konquererz who stated the point our judgement lies after we die, not before.

The bad things in our world are a result of sin, not a consequence God spins the roulette wheel saying what my punishment for being disobediant. People have contracted AIDS by blood transfusions. If somebody argues that AIDS is a punishment for having immoral sexual relations, then what is the person who could possibly have been the victim of a bad car wreck and needed blood guilty of? They did nothing more than get in their car and be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sin has brought a lot of ugly things in this world, AIDS being one of them.

Punishment Divine AIDS

I have a female penpal in Uganda. She is a single mother of two and HIV positive. After I got to know her I asked how AIDS got so far out of hand in Africa. She said when it first started taking lives there were many superstitious people there that thought it was Voo Doo and you can't beat Voo Doo, so they just kept infecting others. Is God punishing the pitifully ignorant in Uganda? It's a terrible disease not the wrath of God!

AIDS A Divine Punishment? Revealed Bible The

Ok lets start with some biblical knowns. God asked or commanded us not to be in sexual relations outside of marriage, not to eat raw blood and no playing with animals! Is this were the three strikes and your out rule comes from in baseball?

I personally think it was the lack of our following of these three hard fast rules that has brought us into so much trouble. Not just aids but every STD out there remember they did not go rampant till the 60's(in modern history). No it is not a punishment but a result of illicit behavior or in scientific lingo cause and effect.

We started out disobeying a do not eat raw blood ie eating monkey or worse perhaps in the form of illicit sexual acts. Result some one contracted the aids virus. Then through non marital sex it was spread to more and of course it continues expedientially in its growth. How can we blame any but our selves as we were warned that this was a no no. With out looking it up I am unsure but I will guess we were told not to but not the why. Many std's that we see today were rampant in the roman times....gee I wounder what the connection is. rolleyes.gif

AIDS / HIV are all the results of sin. In the future there will be many more diseases because people are turning from God more than ever.

Punishment Divine AIDS

Because AIDS is spread primarily by homosexuals and dirty needles in the United States the religious of the world have associated sin with AIDS. But let's take a look at AIDS from a totally different perspective than most of you know. I have an e-mail friend in Kampala, Uganda, Africa, that has AIDS. She works at a university counciling people with HIV. I asked her once why so many people in Africa have AIDS. She said because when it first started they thought it was black magic. How terribly sad, but in Africa religion had absolutely nothing to do with AIDS. It was spread by ignorance.

Maybe the prevention took way too long (sex education) but I do not think it is the real cause of AIDS being so bad in Africa and continuing increasing. Sexual activity (based on numbers) is out of control in an area that fights poverty on a daily basis as well as lack of Education and sanitary conditions. On top of that, the tribal wars going on there and women being raped as we speak. It is truly a very sad situation.
