God & Jesus The Same?

Is God & Jesus The Same person in the Bible?

Same Jesus and God

Difficult one, and I think it depends on how you yourself personally translate it!
I was brought up Methodist, but my Mum taught me that God and Jesus were 2 separate people, it was only when I was a teenager that I realized that this didn't at all fit in with Methodist teachings, where they believe in the Trinity- as in God being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(I think this is basically why I spent years trying to find a religion that was right)
We all go to a Baptist church now, which believes in the Trinity, but I still somehow can't believe in it, I really still do believe that God, Jesus and the Holy spirit are 3 different people. I haven't seen anything yet that has changed my mind!

Spiritually Yes I think they are the same being. When on Earth the difference being that Jesus was the combination of the Holy spirt and human flesh.

Here is my take on it: Jesus is a God, he is part of what makes up a God Head if you like, but he is a separate person to his Father, the God of all. A good reference for this is the baptism of Jesus where in three distinct showings took place:

a. Jesus was in the water being baptised by John
b. Father's voice from Heaven speaking
c. Holy Ghost in the form of the dove

Another reference is the New Testament where Jesus is seen standing on the right side of God:
