Exoplanet where it rains iron discovered. Researchers have observed an extreme planet where they suspect it rains iron. The ultra-hot giant exoplanet has a day side where temperatures climb above 2400 degrees Celsius, high enough to vaporize metals. Strong winds carry iron vapor to the cooler night side where it condenses into iron droplets. Source 5q.
What's cool of thinking about this is that for now we might thing that's 'extreme' but just who knows, maybe we might reach to a technological level whereby those conditions are absolutely nothing and can be controlled or preserved easily.
The universe holds many amazing planets and bodies, this one is located some 640 light-years away in the constellation of Pisces, but even in our solar system each body is to me a mystery.
