Why Slay The First Born

Why Slay The First Born

Why did God not slay the Pharaoh that would not let His people go rather than slay all the first born children whom had no say in the decision?

Born The Slay Why

Name: John

Comments: Obviously we are talking about questioning God, the one who is all knowing and omnipotent. So, you can't truly believe in God if you question his decision. But, entertaining the question, in case you don't believe, or in case you are just wondering, all we must do is present a scenario in which it could be plausible that an omnipotent being would do this. How about we presume for a minute, I am God. I think, "Well, if I kill Pharaoh, then then next that takes his place will turn on the Israelites. So, I go to one of my children before they are born, and tell them of my plight. My child, feeling love for his God and his many brothers and sisters who are alive as israelite captives, knowing he is going to be born the next pharaoh, offers to sacrifice himself for the lives of the israelites to accomplish the Lord's plan. Now there is no injustice, and the only one that suffers is Papa Pharaoh, and the Lord, knowing his heart, knows he will relent once his son is killed.

John, I'm not sure I understand your answer or your thinking.

So, you can't truly believe in God if you question his decision.

How did you reach to that end all?

QUOTE
...knowing he is going to be born the next pharaoh, offers to sacrifice himself for the lives of the israelites to accomplish the Lord's plan.

When does he make this decision to make himself a sacrifice?

QUOTE
Now there is no injustice, and the only one that suffers is Papa Pharaoh

No, you are focusing on Pharaoh's first born only, this applied to ALL first borns in Egypt and could well have mean the death of thousands - old - young - babies.
