God and a soldier

Soldier And God

I can understand that quote from a personal level. When we were at war freeing the Kuwaiti people we were admired and respected greatly. Once the war was over people started to treat us like we were someplace we did not belong.

This quote is one of the most true I've seen around here. It's written all over the bible that exactly this happens. When Israel is settling into the promised land all sorts of bad things were happening exactly like this quote.

Soldier And God

This can apply to many things however I am no advocate of war and the Old Testament is just that - "old". Soldiers are forgoten because they are trained to kill. No one really wants part of that. People forget God because they want to sin without him looking over their shoulder.
