Oscars: Was 'Green Book' the best picture? Nope
2019 was a diverse and historic year at the Academy Awards, so it probably wasn't the greatest time for "Green Book" to win the best picture Oscar. Source 7d.

Its a good hard look at what America is all about. Even though this was filmed based on an era where racism was more ripe people of color still have to go through those same things today.
