It is said that after artificial hibernation, the queen bee spends around 20 minutes on the ground then it wonders around while having the potential to reach many kilometers away from it's sleeping spot. During that journey the bee pollinates many flowers to attain it's resources, making itself useful to the environment. It's assumed that it's part of simple mother nature.
