George Bush Has A War Trophy

George Bush has Saddam's pistol in the Oval Office as a war trophy. I believe the Special Forces or the 4th Infantry Division presented it to him as a gift. That pistol is a piece of history that should be kept in a museum. Not in the hands of the President. Do you agree or disagree ?

It wont be the first time or the last that a politician has taken a historical or valuable item and claimed it as their own. Governors and members of Congress and Senate are notorious for doing the same. George W Bush will forever be known as the President who ousted Saddam Hussein, so I wont fault him for keeping such an item; I'd probably do the same!

I would also mention that the piece is likely to end up in a museum. Right now, it is in the White House, but after President Bush leaves office, he will probably build a presidential library, where it would be likely displayed, if he doesn't donate it to another museum.

I don't see the big deal about it, if he wants to keep, that's fine....maybe somehow it makes him feel more 'macho' or something it's just a pistol, now...if Bush would want to embalm Saddam after the guy is dead and keep him in his office then that's another story....
