Is Alcohol used in any form by the Jews?

I can't add too much to answer this question, other than the fact that wine is a major part of Jewish religious observance, as well as cultural traditions. I don't think that there are any proscriptions against hard alcohol with Judaism, other than the admonitions to not get drunk.
