I considered it "Difficult" in a sense of "Being different", and that is something we should care for before writing about ourselves. Most sites offer a very simple process of registration and nothing at all is known about the user who is engaging a game or a community.

The fact that you have to write an introduction about yourself beforehand means a lot and I fear mine was not that great taking into account the level of difficulty implied and also all the previous experience I had registering in other sites.

In short, "Differently nice" process of registration ROK II has!

It has been quite a few years, yet from what I can remember I don't believe that it was all that difficult of a process. Perhaps things are a bit stricter when it comes to registrations and general rules compared to some other sites, but not really hard either.

Validation Fix

A new Player recently reported getting a 500 error when trying to validate their Email. I saw the errors in the logs but thought it was just a warning error that I could fix at a later date because of updated PHP versions. However, it proved to be more 'serious' than that. I am glad it is fixed now but regret many who may have joined but were confused by that error.

Yes, hello, that was me. It was this portion of the registration that I deemed "Difficult." It was striking because I've joined several forums over the years and never ran into a problem like that. At first, I thought it might've been something caused by a poor Internet connection, but refreshes didn't help with that, so I knew it was something a bit more involved. It wasn't anyone's fault, but I did find it a bit frustrating.

Having said that, I genuinely appreciate that you were able to resolve the problem I was having so I could come here and get started. I've been able to enjoy the creative process of putting together what I want for my character, and I couldn't do that without the help of you and other administration. Thank you. *smile*.
