FamilySearch's RootsTech conference, taking place in Salt Lake City Feb. 10-12, has announced its lineup of keynote speakers. They include two technology types you might not expect to hear at a genealogy conference? Shane Robison, Executive VP and Chief Strategy and Technology Officer for Hewlett-Packard; and Brewster Kahle, founder of Internet Archive (where you'll find digitized books and the Way Back Machine, among other delights) as well as Curt Witcher, manager of the nationally known Allen County (Ind.)  Source: Genealogy Insider

Family History Conference to Draw Over 5000 Attendees

Salt Lake City | Wednesday, 20 March 2013 00:00:00 -0700 | Thousands of genealogists will gather in Salt Lake City this week for RootsTech 2013, the largest family history conference in the United States. The conference runs Thursday through Saturday, and is hosted by FamilySearch, a non-profit organization sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
