Comments: Best way to avoid contention or becoming offended is to ignore them or the situation. We only get offended when we start to dwell on what is being said or taking it personal. Probably it is easier said than done but seriously ignoring it shows you're the better man or woman.
I don't think it is a crime or even bad to be offended by someone's actions or words. It is what you do with it that matters. If you let it eat away at you until you become inactive or it turns you against the church then those are the choices you make but I don't think you can expect people to never let themselves be offended by someone.

Comments: Being around people who are easily offended is an offense in itself. I will never put myself in a position where I feel I can't say or do what I want because so and so will be offended. Don't get me wrong, I understand about having manner, not speaking out of turn and being diplomatic but some people just expect too much and they want to be politically correct on everything.
I sometime's have problems with afew things ..... Directed at non member people though. I have a problem with pettieness ,open drug use (I'm allergic to dope ) on the street and bus stops. Drunkeness ,stupiditiy. (When someone steals from me) I am offended but I get over it I don't stay mad for very long because I know at some point they are not ready for the outcome of their actions.
No I'm not easily offended however I do get offended if someone is mean to me. But it has to be something really bad.
