I wonder what was the argument about that led this old man to hit his home teacher in this manner? Unless he is mental, it must have been a pretty heated discussion.

A Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints home teacher is supposed to provide guidance to local families, not serve as a whipping boy after an argument. But police in Spanish Fork say a man called his two home teachers, saying he needed them to come over. When they came, police say 73-year-old Carl Chandler argued with one of the home teachers, then pulled out a gun and hit the man with it. The LDS Church says home teachers are supposed to visit families every month and be there if they are called upon in times of need. Police have not said what made Chandler call his home teachers that day, nor what the argument was about. Chandler was arrested on aggravated assault charges. He is scheduled for an initial court appearance Friday morning. |
