Question # 6 in the Temple Recommend... |
Exactly, this question applies only to those who wish to enter the Temple. Technically speaking, an investigator with Communist, Nazi or any other "controversial" ideal can perfectly join the Church since abandoning these ideas are not a requirement for baptism.
By principle a person with interest in Nazism should not even want to be a Member of the Church, but in this day and age people join organizations for more than belief. Sometimes it may b infiltration or whatever, we Discuss that more in depth in the Mature LDS Board.

Some people will have less and others more, but that is the conditions of Mortal life as set up by God. Christ's Kingdom is also set up on the premise that we will not all receive the same reward. I think that this is an assumption. I am not sure where you get this conclusion. I thought that in Zion all man will have all things in common. How will someone have more then another? I do not think that Jesus is into giving people more then the other. The way this is stated is to say that reward will not be equal and will leave one for wanting more. Do you think that another will get more then another and that other will be left wanting more? |

You have to remember that Marx's views of Communism were never achieved. The road to trying to get there have left at least 60 million* dead. You are right I feel that Communism never achieved what it set out to do. Neither did the united order, and it was voluntary to some extent. But remember how many people died in the name of capitalism? How many dies in Afghanistan in the 80's, how many died in Iraq under Saddam who was put into power by Pres George H. Bush to defend capitalism from USSR? How many homeless and poor die a year due to no medical insurance, due to capitalism ideas of free market? How many 3rd would nations are kept in poverty to protect our economic interests. This in my opinion is the anti-Christ in revelation. I am not defending communism but I just think that we condemn communism to the extent that we do not look at the dirt and blood that is on our hands. Trust me I am glad that I live in a capitalist society then communism, and that is why I am critical of our system. |
