SEATTLE, Washington - Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles traveled to the state of Washington for the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Seattle Stake, visiting a stake originally organized in 1938 by President Heber J. Grant and Elder Melvin J. Ballard, Elder Ballard's grandfather and one of his predecessors in the Quorum of the Twelve.
