This is one of those cases of "he said/they said". I really do not know. I want to believe they were overdoing it, they were drunk and they needed to be removed. That happens when you own a piece of property with the purpose of letting others enjoy it and at the same time you make the rules that people should abide for it's use and if you feel you do not like how they are behaving, then you remove them.

I read the accounts of other gays in Utah who said they kissed before in the same spot and they were never asked to be removed so maybe these two were doing it on purpose.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is the Plaza in relationship to the Temple/Tabernacle?

Should this behavior be allowed anywhere near the Temple Proper, the Temple steps, The Visitors Center?

If the Church owns the property then they should have exclusive rights to who is on it and what is allowable, in my opinion, regardless of who owned it before the Church.

Dbackers the plaza is a pedestrian thoroughfare! All couples take pictures there kissing and all that and nobody was ever removed! did you see the video? I didnt see no behavior that warranted such treatment (I didnt see no kiss! where is the proof you know what am I am saying?) my goodness and the way the security guards acted practically attacking them physically my gosh maybe they think being gay is contagious.

ps: whether the church owns the place or not they were obviously targeted in my opinion if they can prove otherwise (the church) I have no problem to change my view.

Well hopefully the confusion of if the plaza is public or private will end. The Church put up new signs that makes it more clear that the plaza is private property and that the Church has the right to remove anyone for any reason. But I realize that, while reading what the Church said that the plaza is for the public, what the reason why everyone is mad, "everyone is welcome, as long as you abide by OUR rules." This is like buying something for the public, like a park, then regulating who can, and can't come in, then it is NOT for the public, it's for certain people.

I hear you sound and clear haleray. The church needs to come out straight (no pun intended) with this whole issue you know what am I saying? so two gays were kissing at the plaza so what? I see brides and grooms kissing each other there constantly!

Like any viable business the Mormon church has to invest to profit and secure itself. They already invest in commercial enterprises and stocks so I don't see this any different.
