PHP is a widely used coding language but does it have staying power based on where websites are going or can we expect it to eventually die out similar to how perl did for websites years ago?

I don't know to be honest but PHP will be around for a good number of years to come. Many thought ASP would take charge but it hasn't at least not on the scale PHP has.
