Your Childhood Music
As a child did you have a favorite musician or band that you followed religiously?
I had more than a few favorites growing up, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, ABBA, Black sabbath, Ozzy Osborne, and Beethoven. To say the least I listened to a lot of classical, Heavy rock and country growing up. I enjoyed immersing myself into the music.
I really loved No Doubt and then Gwen Stefani as she went solo. Great music. I also liked Justin Timberlake, The White Stripes and The Killers. I listen to country and older music like Frank Sinatra etc as well now. My musical tastes have broadened as I have gotten older.
Ah yes, Johnny Cash, the man in black. That was my first childhood music love when I was very young. My mom and dad listened to him and Charlie Pride so I learned to appreciate both of them and I still listen to them sometimes when I'm a certain mood.

Being born in the 90s I listened to a lot of boy bands. Backstreet Boys, mostly. My mom loved them too and that probably only encouraged me more. I used to watch music videos for Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, too. Eventually I hit my teenage stage and listened to a lot of Simple Plan, Green Day, and Avril Lavigne.
My teen years were the early 2000s, so I was obsessed with Jesse McCartney. When I hit my late teens, I fell into Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and McFly. I had the posters all over my wall and would buy the CDs religiously. Good times!
