Why Anti-mormons Suck

I find it amusing that anti-mormons pose as being interested in our religion when infact they have a hidden agenda. These people are miserable individuals that have to be sneaky and seek to discredit a religion that they were probably a part of. The strategy that they use is without any moral principle. What kind of person sneaks around and asks questions they already now the answer to in order to elicit a negative response, or trap people? A person that has no honor. At least they should come out and say how they feel. I am talking about you revival, and all of those like you.

The funny thing is that people still give them genuine responses when it is a waste of time.

If you want to debate then debate. I can handle that.

Anti-Mormons suck because it seams that they have no honorable characteristics.

Suck Anti-mormons Why

Quasar,
I think we have to remember that Saul of Tarsus (who became Paul) in the New Testament railed against the Church, and worked to destroy the Church. He then became one of its greatest defenders. Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world but to save the world and that is true of all mankind, not just Catholics, Protestants, Mormons etc.. It is especially true for those who we perceive to fight against the Church of Christ(imagine the thoughts of the Christians who saw Paul teaching the Gospel after they saw him fight against it).

Regardless of Revival's motives, he has asked thought provoking questions that should be answered as well as can be done. It is a forum for those outside of the Church to learn more about the Church. Even if he does not believe the things that are being taught he may learn that we are sincere in our love for the Savior, and strive to love our fellow man as Christ taught us in the book of John.

I cannot argue or debate the truthfulness of a gospel principal anyway, as it is impossible for me to persuade anyone of the truth. The only way one can learn the truth is through the intercession of the Holy Spirit. I am not that good of a debater or teacher to persuade anyone that Jesus is the Christ, that he died for mankind, and that he has indeed talked to his prophets today as he did in ancient times.

Rather off topic, but...

I realize my own weaknesses, and as Moses I am slow of speech, but I have complete faith in my Savior. I know that he watches over my Family everyday and I know that he has a path prepared for me. I would only ask those who do have doubts about the validity of this message: go to God and ask him with sincere faith. As it says in Matt. 21: 22
QUOTE

22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

I do not know the answer you will receive, but I know, through the inspiration of the holy spirit, that these things are true and that God will tell you in your heart and in your mind the pathway you must follow. Ask and ye shall receive; that is the admonition of Christ to any sincere man searching for the truth.

dbackers you are so very correct, so often those who sought to tear the church down become their strongest supporting members.

It is very hard to remember to pray most for those who seek us harm, when stones are flying at your head. If we do though Gods will can be done and a greater good will come then a mere defeat of your enemy.

So to me an anti-mormon sucks because they test the limits of ones faith.

Suck Anti-mormons Why

I understand what you are saying dbackers. Perhaps it is immaturity on my part. However I had 2 siblings that got into anti-mormon doctrine and both of them were return missionaries. I have had enough experience with them to smell them coming a mile away. It seams as though these types have a hard time leaving it alone and become some of the darkest most miserable people you will run across. I also understand some of this personally, but I never got to deep into anti-mormon doctrine and kept my basic beliefs by a hair.

These types like to hear peoples' testimonies and then mock them (casting pearls before swine). They consider mormons weak and have no respect for the "turn the other cheek" principle. They still want to hear the doctrine because they want to feed. They are full of darkness and should be treated as such. They only have one religious goal and that is to destroy. They get worse over time. And the worse they get the more they blame mormonism. A vicious downward cycle.

A lot of them have good excuses like bad families, unaccepting members, and my favorite being church corruption. In the face of adversity they failed. My brother is an example of how these types can change their hearts, but I can assure you that it has little to do with the persuasion of man. He was real deep in it. He has paid the price big time and taken it very well I might add. I couldn't have handled what he went through, but that isn't my story to tell. The Alma and Paul types are rare.

If you want to play charades with it then go ahead. I will stay out of it.

Why Anti-mormons Suck

AntiMormons give us a great opportunity to talk about our religion. They also keep us sharp on the scriptures and doctrine. Sure, some will get caught up and fall by the wayside, but that's merely the parable of the Sower in action.

One thing a Mormon can be sure of is the fact that the Bible does not conflict with LDS doctrine in any way and no other church can claim as much. Historical issues are often a little harder to address, but I've been down so many antiMormon rabbit holes on that end that I can truthfully say that one should have no fear of those issues either. There is always something missing in any antiMormon criticism; some details, some context, part of the truth, etc.
