And how long will it be before we find out the substitute is bad for us? Why don't we just really do something crazy and eat natural food that's healthy for us. Oh, that's right, it's because it isn't profitable. So, let's slowly kill ourselves instead.

Hmm, this sounds a lot like what the tobacco industry did for decades. Why do we let stuff we know is bad for us continue to be sold to us… especially since our children are at risk of using it?

Canola oil linked to worsened memory and learning ability in Alzheimer's. Canola oil is one of the most widely consumed vegetable oils, yet little is known about its health effects. Now, a study links canola oil consumption in the diet with worsened memory, worsened learning ability and weight gain in mice which model Alzheimer's disease. It's the first study to suggest that canola oil is more harmful than healthful for the brain. Source 2r.

Oils Hydrogenated

We discussed hydrogenated oils and trans fats in my Nutrition course during college. At the time, about 6 years ago, up to half a gram of trans fats were allowed to be present in food and not noted on the nutrition label by the FDA. Any idea whether their new stance on them has changed this rule?
