JUDGE QUASHES TRAFFIC TICKETS OVER MISSING FRENCH

A judge in Winnipeg has tossed out nine traffic tickets because they weren't completely written in Canada's two official languages.

Well, that makes complete sense. Its not really right, when you have two official languages that people can speak, to only put the citations in one of the languages. I'm not sure that this should expunge them from the actual law they broke, but I suppose you cant have it both ways. I think the judge did a good thing making sure that the law respects both languages that the country endorses as acceptable to speak. I think it would have been different if only on english was the official language.
