The purpose of this thread is to highlight a very common insecurity issue among women today: physical beauty. How would you respond to the following problem:
Your friend is very insecure about her looks and is constantly comparing herself to you. After watching a segment on Dr 90210, she decides to have plastic surgery, to improve various areas of her body such as: her face, enhance her bosom and liposuction on her arms, legs and stomach. You are fully aware of the drawbacks of plastic surgery whereas, your friend considers this to be the ideal solution for all her problems. Would you support her decision or advise against it?

If you were aware of any problems that could occur, you'd have a moral obligation to at least try to explain this to your friend, especially if she wasn't grasping the full complexities of the situation!
In answer to this, I'd say yes, I'd tell her, and not have a problem at trying to talk her out of it!
I would advise her against it. Plastic is for people who really have physical defects and not for normal people. Sorry to say but I think people who use this to get rid of fat is disgusting. Go do some exercise!
Patients who travel abroad for plastic surgery can bring home serious complications. With the promise of inexpensive procedures luring patients to travel abroad for plastic surgery, medical tourism has become an expanding, multi-billion-dollar industry. But while the initial procedure may be cheap, it can place a significant burden on US public health systems when patients return from abroad with complications. A new study describes the magnitude of medical complications that can result from plastic surgery abroad. Source 7p.
