Heaven Speak Not God Why

We have his Bible now so he does not need to. All that god needs to say is in the Bible, we need to open it up and read it to know what god is saying.

Why God Does Not Speak From Heaven? Revealed Bible The

Country:

Title: God does speak

Comments: I must disagree with Saved. I do not believe that the Bible contains everything God needs to say. No where does it say that God will stop speaking to His children.
Take for example the laws and commandments given to Moses. One could have easily said that those were all God needed to say to His children. (well the Pharisses actually had this kind of mentality with Jesus). However He continued to speak to His children by sending more mesengers (prophets), like Joshua, Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, even Jesus the Son of God and his Apostles. And thus giving us more scripture. And why did He send more prophets to His people? Wasn't what He told Moses enough? Well times change. And in every era we are faced with different challenges so then God guides his children in every era by giving them more instructions, sometimes changing His instructions. God does not stop speaking to His children, unless they are unwilling to listen, or have rejected/killed his mesengers (which He has always later replaced, talk about love right?)
Do I believe that the Bible can help us in these days of tormoil? Yes! Do I believe that a book that was written by people living almost 2,000 years ago is the only thing that God has left us with? No! He has Never done that to His children! What I do believe is that God, just as He has done in the past, will guide His children and give us instructions for "our" day. I love the Bible and read it often, but it is not the only thing that God has left us with today. That being said I also believe that the way God will instruct us nowadays is the same way He has always done...that is call a prophet. Think about it! Why wouldn't He? It's consistent with what He has done in the past. Does it not make sense that He would do the same today, especially these being the "last days" and the world being so wicked?
I believe that He has called a prophet. I believe that through this prophet He restored His church, His priesthood, and has opened the windows of heaven for His children once more. I believe that "today" (2011) His prophet is man called Thomas S. Monson, the president of the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." I sustain him as a prophet, seer, and revelator. I also believe that all his predecesors were also prophets, seers, and revelators. (all the way down to the Prophet Joseph Smith). And I now this because I've prayed about it..and the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that it is true (this is another way that God has communicated with his children).
Well Urstin I hope I have explained my self well and that you won't be led to believe that the Bible is the only thing that God has left us with and that he won't communicate with us anymore because some people choose to believe that He has said everything He needs to say in the 66 books of the Bible.
