The prosecution team managers did an excellent job with building their case so if any Republicans do not convict then it will make them look really bad but I don't think they care because they want to save the GOP.

Instead of actually calling witnesses they just included a witness statement into evidence I guess to not draw out the trial. The GOP have already made up their mind which makes them biased.

I watched the entire trial. The house managers for the Dems made an excellent presentation of the facts. I could not see how anyone would vote anything other than guilty. What was very shocking was to see McConnel get up and say how bad Trump was and yet could not impeach him because of a technicality that the GOP made. They made it because the case to impeach Trump was made BEFORE Trump left office. In fact McConnel delayed the trial.

This trial was a political strategy to label Trump and the Republicans for what they did. So for that they won even if they did not get the impeachment.
