The Man & The Message

The Man & The Message

Do you feel that the man giving a Message is just as important as the Message being given? For example, will you first look over who the Messenger is to decide the value of the Message he presents? Is there a case when this is not true?

Well yeah of course it matters who delivers the message. If the person isnt trustworthy or honest, etc I wont take what they say with much concern.

I'm not sure about this because appearances are deceiving. I try to give a fair chance to everyone, including those who may not seem as "good" people. Then I listen, then I decide.

This reminds me of the Book of Mormon story about one of Mosiah's sons who was showing such a bad example that when Mosiah went to preach no one would listen. I'd say BOTH the man and the message is important.

Depends on the message, but once someone is living the gospel then I do not see why any message that is also consistent with the gospel cannot be accepted.
