In 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a plan to eradicate poverty and build a "Moderately prosperous society" by the end of this year. China has dispatched some 775,000 party officials to drive the anti-poverty campaign. Source 1o.

I hope part of that campaign is to no secretly remove people who are living in poverty. Sometimes its not always about money as many of these people may have physical or mental limitations that prevent them from earning any money.
