Banner Themes

Q. How do I change the banner that is displayed on the top of each page?
A. Go to your profile and look for the 'theme' drop down menu, select the banner you wish to have displayed and then save. You will then see your banner displayed.

Q. Why can't the whole forum theme change?
A. I know, many of you were spoiled by that feature in the last forum, but in this one it is more difficult. Technically part of the script is actually written into the skin, so changing a skin would actually mean changing many codes within the skin. Of course this is a lot of work, so we decided to just change the banner.

Q. What kind of themes are available?
A. Many! Just check in your profile for a selection.

Q. Can I request a theme?
A. Yes! Via the Board Shop.

Q. Why do the banners not show when I am not logged in?
A. When you are not logged in the forum sees you as a guest and therefore displays the default banner theme which is usually a solid color.

Q. Does the banner do anything special?
A. It helps to personalize the forum so you feel more at 'home'.

Q. Do I have to use the banner theme?
A. No, you may leave it as is, but once you update your account it will always display the default banner.

Q. Why does the Matrix skin not enable banners to show?
A. The Matrix theme is already set to be just that - a Matrix theme - so therefore the user does not have the option to set banners. You can always use the Winter or Red skin to see banners.

Q. Why doesn't my theme show when I log out?
A. Banner themes are only for members, when you log out you become a 'guest' therefore you will not see a banner.
