Title: Citizens must assist the police
Comments: In the light of the murder of a young ambitious policewoman here, and the manner it which her killer tried to dispose of her body, I now believe the writing is clearly on the wall for more murders similar to this one, and that unless our citizens decide to help the police despite their differences murders are going to become more frequent and citizens higher up the hierarchy will become their victims. We cannot allow criminals and terrorists to rule the roost in this nation, and destroy our hopes for improvement in our moral standards and well being. I am still convinced that restoring te death penalty and commence hangings of those already convicted of murder is the only tried and tested deterrent to stem the flow of murders here. It really does not matter what our politicians say now, in the the foreseeable future they will have to restore the death penalty, like it or not. There is now no other way left to stop the amount of murders being committed here. Our politicians must now reject the guidance given to our legal authorities where the death penalty is concerned, and take the necessary actions to put this nation back on the right track.before it becomes too late .The present situation can no longer be allowed to continue here.
I do see citizens helping police to solve crime, that includes witnesses. However I do also see the opposite and those decisions originates from fear of gangs or targeting. Restoring the death penalty wouldn't really do anything for this country since the criminals will become even more determined, not to mention being more smarter and quicker with their actions of crime to prevent being caught.
As of right now, prisons are being overcrowded and there should be more new ones, not a death penalty.
The police rely a lot on intelligence to act. If you don't say what is happening then the police cannot be expected to know. If you report a crime and don't find you're getting your grievances addressed then ask to speak to the station's Sargent or Inspector.
