Trinidad & Tobago Acts Of Kindness - Page 2

Name: George

Title: Helping the poor here

Comments: When the rich and wealthy here decides to do something to help the poor citizens who are of mainly African descent, then you will see pigs flying in the skies above this island. These manipulative individuals spend most of their time seeking methods to become even richer. It simply means more deceit, corruption from the Mr Bigs, many the generators of crime here. Almost all of these guys live the life of Riley, and associates mainly with many of our senior politicians. They live in the most posh areas either gate guarded or protected by the local police. Most have no compassion, and lack respect and morals. Helping the underdog is the last thing on their minds. The homeless walking the sleeping on the streets of Port of Spain or the poor families lacking a good supply of drinking water or other essential amenities has no effect on their conscience. If any of these rich and wealthy people, including many rich politicians cared about our ordinary citizens, then over the past 50 year poverty would have been already eliminated, citizens would have been much more happier, trusting, and would not have to live in fear of their lives. Crime and general lawlessness would have never reached the present alarming level, because the real causes of crime would have been eliminated or drastically reduced. Of course it is no good telling this to those suffering from acute personal greed or lacking in logical reasoning or foresight. The deceitful attitude of the rich and wealthy here are part and parcel of what contributes to the injustices that are dished out to the ordinary citizens of this nation on a daily basis, which is the cause of almost all of our crimes here. Relying on the rich and wealthy to help the poor here is just a pipe dream.
