I personally don't think that Atlantis actually existed, what I believe what happened Plato found an ancient manuscript talking about a city being lifted off of the earth because of righteousness of the people, and decided that that was too boring so he created a story about Atlantis to stir the imagination of the people which would you find more thrilling. A city that is lifted up because of righteousness or a city destroyed because they rebelled against the gods? You decide.

You may be on to something, but then again it is just a theory. As for belief, I think all of the mythed cities did exist at one point in time or another, but like all of you have stated, they were not as far advanced as said. Maybe they were advanced to other cultures, but then again where are they now and where is the proof that they existed.

You have a good point if as "experts" say that these cities existed, then were is the proof. I've read dozens of books on Atlantis and all the so-called proof isn't very accurate and at time seem to go against what someone else is saying. For example one expert said that there is no way Atlantis is greek because they don't have any words like Atlantis. The root word found in Atlantis is very greek "Atlas." If you recall from Greek mythology Atlas was the god who carried the world on his shoulders.

I've stated once I'll state it again, The Lost city of Atlantis isn't lost because it never existed in the first place.

I think its a place that might have been extremely exaggerated. Or just a story in general. I don't believe the mystical or fantasy views on it. It's a fun story, though!

We do not know anything about the lost city,except for what Plato said in his writings. The only thing we know is it was destroyed in a single day and night.

Atlantis is a made up place that Plato used as an allegory for arrogant nations. People who mistake older ancient and renaissance era writings as historical are either mistaken or engaging in pseudoscience. Even if there was some weird now submerged piece of land around 9000 years ago, that wouldn't imply the people writing about it would have even been referring to that. It's just a fun story that later writers picked up on.
