Trinidad Emperor Valley Zoo

Did you all hear the great news about the three new additions to the Zoo? Three beautiful new lions! Can't wait to go this weekend they seem to be doing well and the Zoo promised new additions soon! Hope the tickets don't go up.

Those are fantastic news but why they didn't get a tiger instead of three lions? I have never seen a tiger in the Emperor Valley Zoo, I would like to see more water type of animals and the weather should be a plus but is it me or you guys think they should re-locate to a bigger place?

They need a new place now that they're planning to bring 2 giraffes, there is not enough space for those animals!

That is right, I was thinking the same thing. But probably Emperor Valley Zoo is planning to get more land for these giraffes first?

Do they have any bears, camels or sea life in that zoo? I haven't been there for years but compared with the zoos up here it was so boring! At the time I didn't know any better though.

A young woman was bitten by a yellow python in the petting animals section at the Emperor Valley Zoo. She requested to pet the snake (It's the same one I pet a few years ago) and when the zoo keeper placed the snake on her lap, the python went around her leg tightly to the point of making the young woman turned "Purple" According to relatives and then, the python bite her in her abdomen. The girl passed out and is absolutely traumatized.

The Zoo apparently, took away the snake for a few days but they still took another one for children to pet without taking other measures. They told the young lady that she was petting a guinea pig before and the scent probably stay on her and caused the python to attack however, they also reminded the public of the dangers of petting wild animals.

Trinidad Emperor Valley Zoo

Two giraffes from Texas are now at the Emperor Valley Zoo. One of them broke free from her holding and the zoo keepers had a hard time getting her into her permanent home at the zoo.

The zoo in Trinidad keeps jacking up the price but everything is the same when you go there. They need something more than putting up a few chairs and tables to sit down and a couple of new animals to justify such a big increase in expense.
