What do you think about the new airline called Red Jet? They claim to be the cheapest with fares as low as US$9.99 (before tax). Too good to be true?

Comments: I think it's a great idea, and will be a good competition for Caribbean Airlines. As for prices, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what exactly is the $9.99.

The latest with RedJet is the government is wondering what paperwork they have to operate in Trinidad as the Ministry of transport has no documentation about it.

I saw a press release from them and the slogan "let's turn the skies red". To be honest, it doesn't sound good at all.

Jack Warner said that Red Jet does not have permission from the Civil Aviation Authority to operate in Trinidad & Tobago and hinted that Red Jet will probably have to give refunds to people buying tickets. he did mention that Barbados gave them permission and he wondered if Red Jet felt because they had permission from Barbados that they automatically had permission from Trinidad and Tobago.

I'm so sorry that they didn't come here and make it easy for we Trinis to get around. Always politics has to come in to make it hard so we have to pay the higher Caribbean airlines fees.
