Aaron Matas

The son of a popular San Fernando vendor was gunned down outside a bar on Sunday night.

Aaron Matas, 28, was liming at the Stone Hill Bar at corner of Harris and Sutton Streets, San Fernando, when a man walked up to him and fired several shots.

Matas was shot seven times in the chest and head and ran a short distance before collapsing, police said.

Matas, of Padmore Street, San Fernando, was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he died while undergoing emergency surgery. The shooting occurred around 11.25 p.m.
