War On Crime Starts Monday?

I thought all this time we were in a war against crime...anyhow, apparently from tomorrow (Monday 31st January, 20011) helicopters will take to the skies, police and soldiers will be in full force on the ground and Coast Guard and Customs will take to the sea in a massive exercise to choke criminal activities. Do you think it will work?

Lydia what the article is trying to imply is that now the police have all the tools they need to deal with crime (so I guess there is no excuses) however where is the training in all this? Unless we think every person involved in these sort of operations have the latest training available.
