Why aren't the children of this country given air conditions for their schools? We want to have 20 / 20 vision and have our nation's children sweating like pigs trying to study?
Is this a joke? We have "classrooms" where a huge room is separated through blackboards and made it into smaller rooms and you're asking for air conditioning in schools? That's not happening in your lifestime! Get your kids to Maple Leaf or one of those schools and you'll get it.
I know what we have now but it does not mean that we should not have air conditioning. If we can build tall buildings costing hundreds of millions of dollars then they can make it a little bit cooler for children who are our future.
Maybe its the status associated with the school, and how wealthy the parents of the children who are attending the particular school are. I recently wrote examinations in a prestigious secondary school in San Fernando, and was somewhat surprised to learn that ALL of the classes are air conditioned. When I was in secondary school, it was only the Computer Science Lab that was afforded this 'luxury'.
