If Caricom leaders heed the absence of the ideal, and benchmark everything that is pragmatic about the future, they would not celebrate the meaninglessness of the pomp and ceremony that embellished the summit.  They must, instead, leverage the essentials of what seems to be an historic shift in US attitude.
