Browser Alternatives Are No Guarantee of Security
Firefox, Opera, and Mozilla have their own vulnerabilities--and their own collections of necessary fixes.

The biggest difference is that Internet Explorer has the widest array of known exploits and is thus the biggest target of attacks. Internet Explorer fixes are often not given until there have been damage done. Firefox releases fixes, generally, days before the security hole has even been made public. Opera is just a cheap rip off in my opinion, and netscapes new browser is the firefox that almost was. Using other browsers doesn't exclude you from security breaches, but it does make them let likely to get attacked in the first place.
