Warm-up A System?

One of my network computers has been doing something strange lately... you have to turn it on several times before it starts as though it has to 'warm-up'. I have checked all connections, including RAM, IDE cables, etc. and everything is in properly. I am also wondering if too much moisture could cause this? The room the computer is in has a knack with gathering moss very quickly. The room is also very cold and I wonder if this could also be a problem, although in my mind I thought a cold room would be great for a computer. Lastly, I am also thinking that the power supply / mother board may be failing - I certainly hope not.

System Warm-up

I live in Minnesota and my computer is in the basement, which is the coldest room in the house, and it has never done this during the winter. So I doubt it is the cold. Sounds like something is shorted out, and unfortunately that leads to motherboard issues. Hardware problems are always the toughest ones to debug, and sometimes it means either waiting it out until a component fails, or taking it in to have someone check it out.

Just at first thought I would call it mother board. It could still be power supply but without testing it further I kind of doubt it. I will say that it is a capacitor problem non the less.

System Warm-up

We later found out that it was the power supply. As soon as I replaced it everything worked fine. I believe the difference in current destroyed the older power supply that seemed accustomed with the 'normal' 110 voltage.
