I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am extremely curious about the nature of LDS standards regarding morality, and their purpose towards giving us a better, happier life. With the exception of the law of chastity, adultery, and homosexuality, I struggle to understand the Church's stance on morality. If I don't break the law of chastity, commit adultery, or participate in homosexual practices, then why is anything else regarding morality a sin?
