JB asked my permition to repost my story on these forums, as he thought it would be good learning material. It was a bit tricky, as I had to sign up to see it posted. But now I'm glad I did. Who knows, I might like it around here

I'm glad that another guy from my country joined this community. I understood from one of your earlier post that you are not very proud of being born in this country. I know is not the best place to be born, but hey! you didn't have a choice ... instead we could do something to (1) improve the life in Romania and (2) change the foreigners opinion about this country. After all, Romania is more that Dracula, Hagi, Ceausescu or Nadia and you know it well. As for your business "incident", I think those guys are criminals, but you really "helped" them.

I hope I didn't offended you in any way. I also hope that you will stick around ... it's a great community.

Thank you for the warm welcome Raul. Why would I be offended by your post? It's the truth and perfectly normal.

Of course there are things that can be done. I'm not saying that the power of just a few can't make a difference, but mentality is NOT CHANGING, despite the fact that almost everybody talks about it. And the few that actually do something are instantly bashed and flamed. If other don't care, why should I worry for them? Seems like a faulty belief, but I've been through too much to care anymore for the lazy and moronic. It's just not worth it.

I discovered that working with foreigners is worth my time and actually these people trust you and your judgement without even knowing you, while your own countrymen don't.

You were talking about changing the way others look upon Romania. I think I've done a fair share of my part regarding this issue. Just look up my name and you'll find some pretty interesting info. And I'm proud to state that I've always helped out the image of my country to the possible extent. But as I said earlier, I also stoped caring for those whom don't.

lorandm, I had to erased your last post in the thread called "LDS Life-Hard?" because it was all an offtopic itself. You do not have to waste a whole message just to apologize. I would recommend that next time you can actually go back to the topic and say something related to it and then as an offtopic add your apology or go to the intro thread of the person you want to contact and post your apology there. Thanks.

The reason for posting these kind of things in intro threads are:

1. Public awareness. In this way people also learn from the mistakes of others.

2. Nobody can say "Nobody told me about it".

There is no need for PM in this case. There is nothing private to talk about.
