Star Wars: Episode VIII

'Star Wars: Episode 8' moved to December 2017

Walt Disney Studios announced on Wednesday that the film, written and directed by Rian Johnson, will now debut on December 15, 2017.Fans will have to wait a little longer for Star Wars: Episode VI. Ref. Source 2d.

VIII Episode Wars Star

It makes sense to move it to a later date and thus making better money with a pre Christmas release date. That is how they did it with episode 7 and it seems to work.
