What is your strategy for confronting this animal in Dungeons & Dragons?

I prefer to use a long pike for dealing with this animal. Keeping away from their tusks is a good thing. While not all that dangerous to a party a lone character or two can be sorely hurt by a boar.

That is a good tactic, also I thought fire might be helpful. In my experience animals of this sort don't like fire. So if you could incorporate that in your fight to direct the animal into like lower ground or something to get an advantage. Stop it from charging right at you if you put the fire in between the two of you.
