I have a son who is wanting to go to beauty school after high school. We are looking into LA James school of hair styling for him.

Hi KNtoran,

The best advice I can give you to tell your son is...it really does not matter where he gets his education because it just teaches the basics which get him his license. What he needs to do is get his foot in the door at a high end salon...not Supercuts.

His career will be set by the clients he sets up over the coming years. You aim low and your career is going to be on the bottom rung for a long time if not for the rest of your son's life.

It is a great career!

We support him in everything he does. The Le James is the closest hair college we found in our area. That is the only reason we are looking at it. His mother was a stylist who was a trainer so he has a good teacher right now.

Thanks for your input we will keep reminding him it is his clients that will make or break him.
