THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

For the past few weeks I have been changing
our sites from static HTML to PHP to allow
for dynamic changes. Although the Forum is
written in PHP there are parts that were static
that I am trying to also make dynamic. This
means updates can be made on the fly.

I have begun moving our extended sites and
placing them within various parts of the Forum.
As an example: the features that were once
part of our Single sites will now be made easily
available within the Community. The Spanish
Community is now merged with International
Discussions (within its' own Category).

Why all these changes? Less work and more
efficency for updates. If there is one database
to work with then I can do a lot more for everyone.
If anyone hears me deciding to open another
interactive site - please slap me!

NEW SKIN

There is a new Skin, it is really for the Spanish
Boards, but you can use it as your regular Skin
if you like. It has an interface similar to a MAC
computer, but of course there are Latin symbols
shown. Thus, the name of it is: 'Latin-Mac'.

THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

I did some major updates to ALL the Skins. You
now have a Drop Down Menu that contains most
links to everything on the Community. You will
also see that there is a bigger concentration on
Themes - feel free to chose the 'Christmas' Theme
via your Control Panel if you celebrate.

The New Portal's main focus now is Independent Blogging. This means you will find Blogs of Upgraded Members that are separate and distinct from this site.

A new Menu has been added that takes you to other related sites we own.

There have been massive changes in the
Community. Many new Boards and Skins
were added. The Spanish Community was
merged. The 'New' portal now takes on the
shape of Independent Blogs and so forth.

However, the most significant change has
to be the Top Menu with all the available
links in an easy to use drop down menu.
You simply select the link you are interested
in and then click the button and that is it!

Now, there are TWO MAJOR things I would
like to bring to your attention, and I am
hoping ALL of you participate:

1. You need to vote for BOTH Member and
Moderator of the Month of December 2006.
While you are doing that you need to Vote
for BOTH Member and Moderator of the
YEAR 2006 in the comment box on the same
page as the one where you vote monthly. I
need all the votes in soon and I hope ALL
of you will participate, especially those of
you who have thus been honored in the past,
but have not reciprocated by voting for others.

NO VOTES RECEIVED!

Unfortunately, I have bad news - there was an error with the vote script that was sending everyone to the main page of International Discussions rather than the usual Honor Club, and no one reported it - most likely because you thought it works that way. The truth is, it does not work like that and I only figured out that it was happening when someone wrote about forgetting to vote for Member of the Year in their vote for the Month.

Well, the good news is it is fixed. When you vote it will send you to a 'Thank You' page if all is well and you can rest assured that your vote was sent to me!

Ironically, the link for the vote script was also incorrect in the drop down menu - that was fixed too. Yes, I am terribly sorry, please vote again, because as of 10:17pm EST on the 20th December, 2006 I do NOT have any votes from anyone yet.
