Asadt Introduction

Asalam Alaikum W W
I am soliciting the view of Muslims who have opinion for or against this topic title, that is a topic the world has herd much of it from the main media outlets, and more specifically from leading figures like the President of the USA when making reference to Muslims and their War on Terror.
My understanding is that there are certain members of muslim persuasion who have a problem with the term moderate muslim.
The reason may be due to some form of teaching (political), however the requirement is what those authantic teaching tell us I.e the Quran and Sunna.
