I have been interested in Mormon history since being rebaptized into the Church five years ago. Mormon history is truly the history of America's westward expansion. It is also the story of the only world religion that has truly American roots. I have been to most of the Church historical sites - Palmyra, Kirtland, Nauvoo and Salt Lake City. The one thing that you cannot do is meet the early pioneers of the Church who helped it become what it is today. I am a voracious reader of LDS literature and am into deep doctrine. The early literature of the Church, both pro and con, is fascinating and I spend hours each week in search of some nugget that will help me understand the early personalties of the Church better.
