I have been reviewing this website for the past six months and have decided to weigh in at times on some of the topics being discussed. I enjoy studying unsanitized LDS Church doctrine and history. I really enjoy deep thinkers like the late Elder Neil A. Maxwell, the thoroughness of James E. Talmage and the resounding spirit of Parley P. Pratt. I was raised in the Church, served a mission in California (1968-1970) and have served in several Church callings, including Stake Mission President/ Senior President of Seventy...back in the days when Seventies served on a stake level, several bishoprics, and currently serve on a Stake High Council (again). I also enjoy learning about other people and churches. I thoroughly enjoy a great discussion on Church doctrine, especially when comments made have to be backed up with a paper source. It doesn't hurt to hypothetize a bit, but only if the study group agrees that it is free thought, and not substantiated by sources (keep it to a limit though-don't want to get too far off the doctrinal path).
I am looking forward to participating periodically in the topic discussions. It should be a lot of fun.
