Rorlando Introduction

Hi Everyone!

Just got on this forum for the first time and thought I'd give you all a heads up on who I am, what I do, etc etc. My name is Rory (though I go by Rorlando) and I'm living in Airdrie, Alberta awaiting to head off to Manchester, England for a 2-year mission. I worked for a year before-hand after graduating, doing everything from building homes to cleaning cat urine off off carpets to scaling 80 ft high vessels in oil and gas plants. I enjoy playing guitar and song-writing, sports of all varieties, and always having a good time. I'm here to meet people and learn lots about different cultures, religions, backgrounds and enjoy this forum. Look forward to meeting you all and learning truckloads of information.

Welcome Rory, I live in Manchester, and on the whole, we are a friendly bunch of people! Also the weather here is quite mild at the moment, and the nights have just started getting lighter. I'd still advise you to make sure you bring an umbrella though, as Manchester is well known for it's rain!

Just trying to think of any other advice I can give you, the only thing I can think is that I hope you like beans, as they seem to be a very popular addition to the "Mancunian's" dinner table!

I am surprised I missed this thread. After all, you are going to the best Mission in the world and it so happens that I have already gone there . Your Membership will hopefully still be active by the time you get back, so let us know how all went.
