This would be awesome and a good talking point for after the fact but the traitor would have to be a really good actor. Hope no one gets their feelings hurt its just a game.

Yeah, I played something similar to this once in an Oriental Adventures game setting. He wasn't actually a traitor to the whole group… just most of [them]. His friends [benefited], those who weren't his friends did not and it really never came out.
