GM: Player LDS_forever made a roll of 18 with a modifier of +15 which is 33 - that is above her Charisma of 20 which means that the Councilor does not believe her story. Player Smudge did not make any roll and defaults to an unsuccessful attempt.
Based on the amount of evidence and witnesses you are both found guilty of the crime of murder. The Councilor sentences you to one of two things of which you are given a choice:
1. A lifetime of hard labor in the mines (a prison type colony below the Earth)
Or you can be...
2. Sent to the surface to try and survive among the wreckage and the Machines.
Upon telling you about the second choice the Councilor says...
"You will be free, but you may also soon be dead, the choice is yours..."
GM: Say what you will do now.
You asked to be sent to the Machines which most people know is to basically commit suicide and so the Judge says...
"If you go to the Machine World you will surely die... is that what you want - to die?"
At the very same time an Aide to the Councilor whispers in his ear for about 10 seconds and you can see the Councilors face shone as though he discovered a bright idea. He then says...
"We will not send you to the Machine World, but to the 'Resurrection Room', there you will be reformatted and will be forcibly rehabilitated."
He then gives a cue to the guards as they take you away to the 'Resurrection Room'.
GM: In the Resurrection Room your memory is erased up to the point of being taken from the Matrix. You will once again have to qualify, but not all your stats need to be reset.
